Early Childhood Teacher of the Year

In 2019, Leanne Mits was awarded Early Childhood Teacher of the Year at the Victorian Early Years Awards in recognition of her innovative and exemplary practice. Leanne is dedicated to providing children with rich, meaningful learning experiences and has been instrumental in developing Pope Road Kindergarten’s Reconciliation Action Plan. Her leadership, progressive thinking and commitment to connecting children with culture, history and community have made a lasting impact on early childhood education.
